The road to your own record
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
It takes place on October 11, 2026.
It was the first half marathon in London.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“My finish time was 2:16:34.”A Royal Parks half marathon runner enjoyed course, which is great for spectators and running with friends, but was let down by the number of aid station and Entry fee on a hot day.
“I did run the last bit, at whatever slow speed I could, but I passed that finish line running.”Anca Urdea ran the 2019 London Royal Parks Half, her fourth half marathon. Early on she followed the 2:30 pacer and enjoyed the crowds and atmosphere through the city, but fatigue, knee pain, and driving rain and wind in the back half had her alternating between running and walking. She missed her target time, but ran the final stretch and the finish.
“I found myself struggling after my far too ambitious first half and had to slow my pace.”The runner ran the early stages too quickly in the rain and humid weather, then struggled later on. The congested Hyde Park section was disappointing, but the runner appreciated the well-organized water stations and strong support.
“Would I enter the Royal Parks Half Marathon again? Yes! It’s expensive, yes it’s crowded, but the support along the route was incredible.”Emma ran the Royal Parks Half in rain, on wet roads, and through big crowds. She went out too fast early and slowed in the second half, but between the strong support and the well-run aid stations, she said she'd do it again.

Cutoff
The 2026 Oysho Royal Parks half marathon applies an overall time limit of 4 hours after the final wave starts. To allow the roads to reopen, participants who cannot meet this limit may be directed onto the sidewalk.
The official course for the 2026 Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon starts in Hyde Park, passes through four Royal Parks and major London landmarks, and finishes in front of the Albert Memorial and Royal Albert Hall.
The Oysho Royal Parks half marathon began in 2008 as the first half marathon through central London.
This 13.1-mile course follows a loop on roads closed to traffic, starting in Hyde Park and finishing in Kensington Gardens.
It passes through four of London’s eight Royal Parks: Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
The course was redesigned for 2025, adding a section past Horse Guards Parade with views of the London Eye.
The route runs along The Mall twice and passes both Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace.
After the city-centre section, the route returns to the Royal Parks, where the Serpentine Road section has the loudest crowds.
The finish is in front of the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall.
Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are also beside the course.
There are some gentle climbs and descents, but the course is generally flat and suitable for people running their first half marathon.
The race was created by the Royal Parks charity to raise funds for park conservation and has supported more than 1,900 UK charities to date.
It is not certified by UK Athletics, so its times are not listed on Power of 10.
