A “RUNESCO” half marathon linking Šibenik’s UNESCO World Heritage sites in Croatia—the Cathedral of St. James and St. Nicholas’ Fortress.

The course passes the Riva promenade and Solina Lake before turning around at the fortress.

Limited to 300 runners, this small, select field runs the Adriatic shoreline in early winter.

Cathedral of St. Jakova, Šibenik

The starting point is in front of the Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik.

Start at Cathedral of St. James, Sibenik's landmark.

Course traces the waterfront Riva promenade, passes through one tunnel to Binzula district (near Kaufrandt),

via Marina Mandalina past St. Ante promenade (Šetnica sv.

Ante) and beside Solina lakes (large and small).

Turnaround point ends at St. Nicholas Fortress visitor center (Tvrđava sv.

Nikole), touring the Adriatic-side fortress promenade before retracing to cathedral front.

Half marathon plus separate St. Nicholas 5K run and Nordic walk depart here, effectively spanning the entire UNESCO World Heritage city coastline.

Start is on the street near St. James Cathedral in Šibenik's old town.

Šibenik's town/train/bus station area is roughly 1-1.5km from the old town center and reachable on foot;

no dedicated race transit info published.

Registration is three-tiered: early (through May 11, 2026: half marathon 27 euro·5K 20 euro)·standard (through Sep 28: 32/25 euro)·final (through Nov 26: 37/30 euro).

Bib pickup is Dec 4 (5-8:30 PM) or Dec 5 (8:45-9:45 AM) near cathedral.

Capacity is limited: half marathon 300 runners, St. Nicholas run 150 runners;

all divisions have a 3-hour cutoff.
