This event is an international marathon event hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association, Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau, Nan'an District People's Government, etc. The Chongqing Marathon will fill the gap in the western region that does not have a national level full marathon. It will strive to build the Chongqing Marathon into a first-class domestic marathon brand event in 2-3 years. It will strive to build the Chongqing Marathon into a first-class international marathon gold medal event comparable to Beijing and Xiamen in 3-5 years.
