The city you want to run becomes your next trip.
THE DREAM
A half marathon and 10K race jointly organized by the Montemar Athletics Club and the Alicante City Council Sports Department.
Course is an RFEA-certified urban loop course.
As you run, the city's historic architecture and beaches appear one after another.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Friends, neighbors, and colleagues cheered me on continuously and gave me the strength to keep going.”
At the 2014 Alicante half marathon, they were moved by the support received while passing their home and familiar neighborhoods, and wrote that they had to make their way through the crowds to collect water after the finish.

Amigos, vecinos, compañeros, me fueron animando incesantemente llevándome en volandas.
Read the original on Ultramaratoniano Jose“I'd say it's a race worth putting on a runner's calendar.”
Juan Carlos de Cabo Blasco endured heat and humidity at the 2010 Alicante half marathon to finish in 1 hour, 43 minutes, 46 seconds. They enjoyed running with friends and praised the overall organization, while hoping for improvements to water provision at the final aid station and routing around the harbor.

TAM Office, C/ Díaz Moreu 6 (La Rambla), Alicante; also sold at kiosks and other authorized TAM points of sale Not accepted at the gates — get the local card above
Alternative: TAM Tourist Card €13 (24h) / €16 (48h) / €18 (72h) — Worth it if taking multiple tram + urban + intercity bus trips over 1-3 days (also includes one Turibus ride). Not worth it for a single one-off ride — just tap your card on the airport C6 line instead.
The TAM network covers Alicante city, Playa de San Juan, Campello, and the airport line. Contactless bank-card tap-to-pay is being expanded but as of early 2026 is still limited to touristic lines (Turibus, C6 Aerobus), not the whole network — don't assume you can tap everywhere.
Confirmed by user reports as recently as January 2026 that you cannot tap on the tram or ordinary buses.
