Banja Luka half marathon is a road race that runs around the city center of Banja Luka,

Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the Vrvas River.

The official Bingo Banja Luka Marathon includes half marathon, full marathon, 10km, team relay, and children's competitions.

Organizers say their goal is to fill Banja Luka's streets, parks,

and nature trails with runners and to promote the social, health, and economic potential of running.

Races and local sports activities are carried out with the same purpose.

According to the official introduction, all course first pass by historical landmarks in the city center,

and then head towards green spaces along the Vrvas River.

The scenery changes from the city center with nearby buildings to the trees and open space along the river.

Organizers also consider the flat terrain of course to be a feature.

Half marathon runs along this flow connecting the city center and the waterside,

meeting the city's historic space and the riverside where residents rest within the same game.

Half marathon, full marathon, and 10km course are events for which the organizers provide official course certification.

Team games are divided into short distances and full marathon distances, and children's games are held separately.

The structure is such that participants who run a long distance as a single person, participants who run as a team, and families gather in the same event.

The difference in distance between events also expands the ways in which citizens can participate in competitions.

The hosting organization promotes the half marathon competition outside the region and also promotes Banja Luka itself to the world.

The event website also introduces stories of elderly participants and local runners with visual impairments.

The purpose of not only competition, but also resident participation and publicity of the region, lies on the road connecting the city center and the riverside.
