The race starts on the Hong Kong Link Road section of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge, and reaches finish.
The bridge is a 55km bridge-and-tunnel complex comprising three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel and four artificial islands.
It was completed in February 2018 and opened to the public in October of the same year.
It is recognized as both the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge and the longest fixed link over open water.
The meeting point is AsiaWorld-Expo, and the event is jointly organized by the Hong Kong China Athletics Association and Bank of China (Hong Kong).
In 2026, a new 10km event was added alongside half marathon, bringing total participation to 10,000 runners (half marathon 8,000 and 10km 2,000).
That same year, the race received World Athletics Platinum Label Road Race status.
It was the first event in Hong Kong to receive the designation and the fourth among all half marathon worldwide to earn Platinum certification.

Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
The 2026 edition, promoted to Hong Kong's first World Athletics Platinum Label road race (half marathon 8,000+ participants plus 2,000 for the 10K, with a June–July lottery), has not yet announced athlete-pack collection details.
Packs are usually distributed at a designated pre-race collection venue, so check the official website and email instructions.
AsiaWorld-Expo (via Tung Chung Line MTR to Sunny Bay or AsiaWorld-Expo Station)
The actual start/finish is on the Hong Kong Port artificial island of the HZMB bridge, not directly walkable from any MTR station. Runners must first assemble, undergo security check, and check bags at AsiaWorld-Expo, then are taken by organizer shuttle to the bridge start/finish line.
AsiaWorld-Expo (shuttle back from bridge finish)
Organizer shuttle returns finishers from the bridge finish area back to AsiaWorld-Expo, from where MTR is accessible.
Yes — mandatory organizer shuttle bus service between AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Port start/finish on the bridge (runners cannot reach the start/finish independently).

The 10km event starts at 6:15 a.m., while half marathon starts in waves according to entry category: 7:15 a.m. for the Challenge Group,
followed by 7:45, 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. for Groups 1–3.
The time limit is 3 hours for half marathon and 1 hour 30 minutes for the 10km.
For both events, participants must be at least 16 years old in 2026.
Registration is conducted in two stages.
Priority registration for runners who meet the qualifying time opens at 2:00 p.m. on June 11 and closes at noon on June 15.
General lottery registration then runs from June 18 to July 2.
The event is presented as Hong Kong’s first race held on the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau sea-crossing bridge, where vehicle traffic is normally the focus.
The bridge-and-undersea-tunnel complex itself—the world’s longest sea-crossing link—is the race’s biggest attraction.
With its upgrade to Platinum Label status and the addition of a 10km event in 2026, total participation has expanded to 10,000 runners.
The meeting point is AsiaWorld-Expo, from where participants travel via the venue to start line on the bridge on race day.
Times are local to Hong Kong. Check the latest official information before the race.
