The road to your own record
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
The course runs through Tilden Regional Park and Wildcat Canyon in the East Bay.
Shaded sections lined with oaks and eucalyptus alternate with open stretches, offering views of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.
On clear days, Mount Tamalpais is visible as well.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Berkeley Trail Adventure was definitely my toughest 50K so far and I have much to learn.”kowsik fell on a descent and injured a knee at the 2013 Berkeley Trail Adventure 50km, then endured steep climbs and canyon heat. Mixing running and walking before sprinting the final 20 yards, kowsik finished second in the age group in 6 hours, 16 minutes.
“During this run I experienced pretty much every single emotion known to man…”Both feet went numb on a steep climb at the Berkeley Trail Adventure, frightening Steph, but forest descents and San Francisco Bay views provided enjoyment. Even a bee sting couldn't spoil the pride of finishing and receiving the age-group second-place award.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
