Getting to the start

Bonghwa Public Stadium

1111-106 Bonghwa-ro, Bonghwa-eup, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Assembly at 10:00 on Sunday, 6 September 2026. The official website (bonghwarun.kr) was inaccessible because of a certificate error, so the information was checked through web searches.

Bonghwa is a rural area not served by the KTX. The date (6 September) was confirmed through web searches, but direct verification on the official website was not possible because of the certificate issue.

A looped course through Bonghwa-eup and the foothills of Cheongnyangsan Mountain, starting and finishing at Bonghwa Public Stadium (based on web searches).

Bonghwa is a small rural county in Gyeongbuk with no subway; access is by intercity bus to Bonghwa bus terminal or by car. No dedicated transit card system for this rural venue — standard car/bus access with cash or card.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

September mornings are cool, but the sun can be strong during the day.

Bring a light outer layer to take off before the start, along with a hat.

Since the race goes up to the half marathon, start the first 5 km comfortably slower than your target, and focus on holding your pace after 15 km.

As its name suggests, Bonghwa is known as the home of pine mushrooms.

Cheongnyangsan Mountain and the National Baekdu-daegan Arboretum are well worth visiting.
