Oak Ridge in September — With an average temperature of 22°C, it's neither too hot nor too cold for running.
However, the sun gets stronger as the day goes on, so all you have to do is pack a thin outer layer to take off before leaving.
Public transportation does not reach the venue.
The only realistic means of access are private cars and rental cars.
Application is done through the RunSignup platform.
Full marathon really starts after 30km.
It is better to pass the first half 5 to 10 seconds slower than your goal pace to maintain the second half,
and put the gel in from the early section before you get hungry.
Departure is scheduled for 05:30.
If you factor in waking up, breakfast, and transportation, it is easier to book accommodations closer to start line the night before.
Applications are accepted until September 5, 2026.
Times are local to Oak Ridge. Check the latest official information before the race.
