No rail/subway nearby; nearest RTD stop is Central Park Station (A Line commuter rail) roughly 1.5 miles away, or the N Line stop near Central Park Blvd & 54th Ave
Race is a certified 1-mile loop run repeatedly at Northfield High School, 5500 Central Park Blvd, Denver, CO 80238 (Central Park/Stapleton neighborhood); most participants drive and park on-site, this is not a walkable-from-transit venue Small-scale Boston-qualifier race (~75 participants) on a closed 1-mile loop; suburban Denver school venue, car/rideshare is the practical way to arrive.
Same as start — Northfield High School (loop course, start=finish)
Finish is at the same 1-mile loop location as the start
MyRide card (legacy reloadable card; largely superseded for casual/tourist use by Tap-n-Ride open payments)
MyRide accounts are set up online at rtd-denver.com; for a one-time visitor this is unnecessary — RTD steers infrequent riders toward tapping a bank card, using the RTD/Uber/Transit app, buying at a station TVM, or paying cash on the bus. Works directly at the gates
Alternative: Day Pass $5.50 (fare cap applies automatically when tapping the same contactless card/device repeatedly in a day) — No advance purchase needed for most visitors — just tap the same card/phone all day and RTD's fare capping automatically limits your total to the Day Pass price. RTD's Tap-n-Ride, launched in 2025, is confirmed by RTD's own site to accept a Visa or Mastercard credit/debit/prepaid card, or mobile wallet, tapped directly on validators across the entire bus and rail network.
The MyRide smartcard still exists for locals/discount-program riders, but RTD's guidance for casual riders points to contactless tap, mobile ticket apps, TVMs, or cash.

Bound for Boston Marathon &
Half Marathon (Denver) is a unique race built around repeated laps of a completely flat, 1-mile loop starting at Northfield High School.
The full marathon uses a USATF-certified course and is designed specifically for runners seeking a Boston Marathon qualifying time (BQ).
With total participation limited to around 75 runners, it has a small, low-key feel.
The race starts at 6:30 a.m., with a relatively tight 4-hour cutoff at 10:30 a.m., making it best suited to runners focused purely on improving their time.
Entry fees are approximately $82 for the marathon and around $50 for the half marathon, including fees, though they vary by early-bird and regular pricing.
To guarantee a T-shirt size, register by July 24, three weeks before race day.
Bibs are distributed on-site starting one hour before the race, so arriving by 5:45 a.m. is advisable.
Aid tables will provide water and sports drinks, and runners may also place their preferred nutrition on the tables themselves.
Finishers receive a custom finisher medal.
Times are local to Denver. Check the latest official information before the race.
