Getting to the start

Marathon/Half Marathon start at ~10,434 ft on Boreas Pass Road, a remote mountain road with no parking and no drop-offs permitted — shuttle is mandatory to reach the start. Event spans Sat 10 - Sun 11 Oct 2026

Getting to the finish

Finish is in downtown Breckenridge, Main Street, walkable to town lodging.

Start shuttle

Mandatory 'Summit Express' shuttle departs the Breckenridge Airport Skier Parking Lot continuously 6:30-9:00 AM; last shuttle for half/full marathon runners departs 7:50 AM.

at an elevation of about 3,180 meters (10,434 feet), and descend to downtown Breckenridge as a course —

the race is billed as having the highest starting point of any road race in the United States.

Over the two days, the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a kids' mile event are all held together.
