Taihu Conference Center/Xuxiang Road
Approximately 35 km along Huantaihu No. 1 Highway
The marathon course starts around the Suzhou Bay underground space and Wuhulu Road, then passes Yindai Street,
Jingzhou Street, Binhu Avenue, Tengfei Road, and Dongshan Avenue in succession.
It then follows Qiantang Road and Linhu Road before joining Huan Taihu Avenue, which runs along Taihu Lake.
After turning back at Yanbo Road, the route passes Xuxiang Road and reaches Taihe Conference Center, where runners pass finish.
As the event name suggests, roughly 35km of course follows roads along the shore of Taihu.
In particular, the Dongshan Peninsula, through which course's later stages run,
is a famous Jiangnan scenic area known for Biluochun tea plantations and Shuiyue Temple, whose grounds reflect the lake.
Much of the route runs beside the water and is generally flat, while the late-autumn lakeside scenery is considered course's main attraction.
