Yiwu half marathon was founded in 2015 and has been successfully held for seven times. It is a brand event of the Zhejiang Marathon and Road Running Association. In 2018, Yiwu International half marathon was awarded the title of "Silver Medal Event" of the China Athletics Association Marathon and a Zhejiang Province Brand Event. In 2019, Yiwu International half marathon was awarded the title of "Gold Medal Event" of the China Athletics Association Marathon. In 2023, Yiwu International half marathon was awarded the title of "World Athletics Brand Brand" event. After years of cultivation and development, Yiwu half marathon has become the sports business card of Yiwu City, injecting "strong potential" into Yiwu's efforts to build the world's "small commodity capital".
