It's a 10K elite race organized by the Chinese Athletics Association;

in 2026 the field was set at 4,800 and about 4,000 ran.

The flat lakeside course is good for fast times.

Spots are decided by lottery, and unsuccessful applicants get a full refund of the entry fee.

Start line will be located at Cao Lake Wetland Park in Suzhou, with a local start time of 7:30 a.m. The field is limited to 4,800 runners,

and the event is a national-level road race organized by the Chinese Athletics Association.

The organizers describe course as a flat loop around the lake, making it a good course for chasing personal best.

Check the organizer's registration page closer to race day for a possible shuttle bus from central Suzhou/Xiangcheng - common for suburban 10K races of this type,

though not separately confirmed for this edition

Stations & transport near the venue

Caohu Wetland Park sits in Xiangcheng District's suburban Caohu New City,

well outside Suzhou Metro's current coverage, so plan on a taxi, DiDi, or an organizer shuttle from central Suzhou.

Suzhou Metro itself uses a rechargeable transit card sold at any station or a contactless bank card/phone tap at the gates for the rest of your trip;

fares run about 2-8 CNY.

READY TO RUN

The 2026 race started at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 27 from Caohu Wetland Park in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, with about 4,000 runners.

The entry fee was 150 yuan, spots were decided by lottery, and unsuccessful applicants got a full refund.

Entry was open to ages 16 to 80.

Results go into the Chinese Athletics Association's results database and can be used to apply for amateur grade certification.

Bibs and race kits aren't handed out on race day.

In 2026 pickup was at the west gate of the Suzhou Dayuecheng (Joy City) mall on Yuyao Road,

Xiangcheng District, from 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

It's about 200m on foot from Exits 1 and 2 of Longdaobang station on Metro Line 4, and if you drove,

the mall's underground parking garage was free for up to 3 hours.

Bring photo ID;

proxy pickup isn't allowed.

On race day you need the wristband issued with your bib to enter the start area, and clothing sizes can't be exchanged.

It's a flat lakeside out-and-back from Caohu Wetland Park along Huanhu Road, turning once at Fangchao Road.

Each aid station has water, energy drinks, fruit and supplements, with fixed medical points and mobile ambulances.

Suzhou in September averages a high of 28.4°C and a low of 21.9°C, with high humidity at 75 percent.

Even with an early start you'll set off in the low-to-mid 20s Celsius, so make use of every aid station.
