The course starts on the iconic boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and finishes at the same location.

The marathon is 26.2 miles, the half marathon is 13.1 miles, and a 5.6-mile 9K is also held on Sunday.

The Saturday 5K takes place in Dewey Beach, so the weekend schedule includes two beach towns.

The course is described as relatively flat and fast, making it suitable for runners targeting a time.

The marathon is a Boston Qualifier, and the half marathon is the RRCA Delaware State Championship.

The 2027 schedule is the 5K on Saturday, 10 April, followed by the marathon, half marathon and 9K on Sunday, 11 April.

A challenge combining the 5K with an event the following day is also available, allowing you to run two races in one weekend.

A finisher medal, commemorative items and an event-specific technical shirt are provided,

and after the finish, a finish party with pizza, pasta, salad, wings and beer is held at Grotto Pizza.

Getting to the start

No dedicated transit station; nearest access is the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk at Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE — walkable within the beach town, car/regional-bus access only for out-of-towners.

Start and finish for all main distances (9K, Half, Full Marathon) are on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.

The 5K is a separate Saturday event in nearby Dewey Beach.

Getting to the finish

Cape May-Lewes Ferry parking lot, Lewes Public Library, Wolfe Neck Road, and Grove Park.

Stations & transport near the venue

Rehoboth Beach is served by DART First State, Delaware's statewide transit system, including a seasonal Beach Bus connecting coastal towns;

fares are $2 per one-way ride or $4 for a day pass, payable via the DART Pass mobile app or cash onboard (no dedicated smart card).

Free parking is available at the Rehoboth Park & Ride on Route 1 for those wanting to avoid downtown parking on race day.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

The Sunday events start in this order: the marathon at 7:00 am, the 9K at 7:20 am, and half marathon at 7:40 am.

The Saturday 5K starts at 9:00 am.

Since the start and finish are on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk,

it is more convenient to book accommodation in Rehoboth Beach and plan access to the Boardwalk and the packet pickup location.

If you are running both the Dewey Beach 5K and the Sunday race, allow time to travel between the two locations.

Packets are available at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

All events can collect their packets from 6:00–9:00 pm on April 9, while participants in the 9K,

half marathon, full marathon, and challenge can collect them from 4:00–8:00 pm on April 10.

From 5:00–6:00 pm on April 9, pickup is available only to challenge and VIP participants.

There is no race-day pickup on Sunday, so plan to visit the day before.

Participants aged 16 and over need a photo ID.

Someone collecting a packet on your behalf needs their own ID, a printed signed authorization form, and a copy of the participant's ID.

Only the 5K offers free emergency pickup on Saturday morning near start line.
