After running alone into a headwind on the flat, the runner tackled Corsa dei Castelli's final steep climb without overdoing it and finished 12th overall. After the finish, they ran another 14km as marathon training.

It is a fast 10 km road course that starts from Miramare Castle and follows the coastal road of Barcola to Piazza Unita d'Italia.

Now in its 10th edition, this race starts in the square in front of Castello di Miramare and finishes at Piazza Unità d'Italia in downtown Trieste.

The route passes along coastal roads including Viale Miramare, Corso Cavour, and Riva Tre Novembre,

and the 10km race and non-competitive category continue on to the square at Castello di San Giusto.

The final 1km stretch, known as "Il Muro," is considered a hilly, tough course.

It's a FIDAL-certified course, and is regarded as producing fast times thanks to its many long straight sections.

Getting to the start

Trieste Centrale railway station

10km race starts at 10:00 from Castello di Miramare (Miramare Castle). A dedicated shuttle runs from Trieste Centrale station (Saba Silos parking side) to the start area, operating 7:30-8:45. 10th edition, point-to-point course from Miramare Castle to Piazza Unità d'Italia.

No date conflict — confirmed Sun Oct 18 2026. There is a shuttle from Central Station to the departure point (Miramare Castle) from 07:30 to 08:45.
