This high-altitude marathon takes place in Xining, Qinghai Province.

Starting at the Qinghai Sports Center, the course links the city’s commercial district, landmarks and riverside green spaces,

with approximately 5,000 participants in the full marathon and 10,000 in the half marathon.

With “plateau” in its name, the race is held at high altitude, so acclimatization is part of the race itself for runners used to sea-level conditions.

The start is at the south gate of Qinghai Sports Center, at 7:30 a.m. on September 6.

The field is capped at 15,000: 5,000 full marathon spots are for experienced runners and elite athletes,

and 10,000 half marathon spots are for recreational runners with a basic level of fitness.

The course crosses Xining's commercial districts, cultural landmarks, city parks and riverside green spaces.

官方信息：起点为青海体育中心南门，赛道沿五四西路→同仁路→香格里拉路→世纪大道（折返点）后原路返回体育中心 日期确认为2026-09-06，与库内日期一致，无冲突。西宁为省会城市但暂无地铁系统（在建中），市内公共交通以公交为主。
