The events are 3.8km, 1.7km, and 400m individual, plus a 400m family relay.

Starting separately from the Disney Pier, Sam Pak Wan Beach, and Tai Pak Wan Beach, all routes finish at Tai Pak Wan Beach in Discovery Bay.

This open-water swim offers 3.8km, 1.7km, and 400m individual events plus a 400m x 2 relay (family relay and open relay).

Each event has its own start: the 3.8km from the Disneyland Resort Pier,

the 1.7km from Sam Pak Wan (三白灣) beach, and the 400m individual and relay from Tai Pak Wan (大白灣) beach.

Finish for all events is at Tai Pak Beach (大白灣) in Discovery Bay.

This is the 4th edition, and it aims for an atmosphere everyone from first-time to experienced swimmers can enjoy.

3.8km race starts at Disneyland Resort Pier (walk ~10 min from MTR Disneyland Resort Station); 1.7km race starts at Sam Pak Wan Beach/DB North Plaza; 400m solo/relay start at Tai Pak Beach

Official race site (eventshorizons.com/2026-dbc) gives ferry (Central Pier to Discovery Bay), MTR+bus routing, and an optional paid shuttle ($70/ticket) for 1.7km swimmers departing ~1 hour before race start.

Optional paid shuttle bus service (two routes) for 1.7km race participants, ~$70/ticket, departing about 1 hour before race start; also standard Central–Discovery Bay ferry service available.

Transit card

Discovery Bay is reached only by ferry from Central Pier 3 (or a bus/taxi via Tung Chung Road). A registered Octopus card gives the resident/standard fare (about HK$38.20 adult one-way), while an unregistered tourist Octopus or cash ticket costs more (around HK$55.80).

Buy or top up an Octopus card at any MTR station or convenience store before heading to the pier; contactless bank cards are not accepted on the DB ferry, so an Octopus card or cash is required.

Early-bird registration closes at midnight on July 14 or once the 300-participant cap is reached, whichever comes first.

Regular registration then continues until August 4 or until the 500-participant cap is reached.

Shuttle buses are provided for 1.7km event participants.

The partner hotel, Auberge Discovery Bay, offers participants a discounted rate of HK$850 per night.
