“I found that it was actually easier and more efficient to run up the dunes with short, choppy steps, than to walk.”

At the Dunes 50km, steep sand dunes and heat made the race difficult, but ice and encouragement at aid station revived them. They kept running to finish sixth among women in 7 hours 31 minutes.
