Getting to the start

No public transit; car access only

Start (all distances) is at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center (TOEC), 75 Mountain Laurel Ln, Cold Spring, NY, just off Indian Brook Road — starting line by the pavilion near the boat dock, per official race site (fahnestockraces.com/race-course-info). Parking along both sides of Mountain Laurel Lane; explicitly no parking on Indian Brook Road.

Road marshal assists crossing State Route 301.

Transit card

Cold Spring, NY is reachable from New York City via MTA Metro-North's Hudson Line (fares payable by the MTA TrainTime app or at station ticket machines; Metro-North does not use the OMNY tap card that NYC subway/buses use). However, Fahnestock State Park, the actual race venue, is several miles from the Cold Spring station, so a car or rideshare is needed for the final leg.

Fahnestock State Park, the race venue, has no public transport, so you will need to drive.

It is about 1 hour 20 minutes by car from New York City.

Metro-North’s Hudson Line reaches nearby Cold Spring, but you will need a vehicle connection to the park.

The Hudson Valley heat and humidity in August are serious, so hydration and electrolytes remain important even with an early start.

Registration is handled through UltraSignup.
