In early September, when the race is held, Wallonia’s maritime climate brings cool running conditions, with average temperatures of roughly 11–19°C.
Atlantic low-pressure systems can also bring frequent showers, so packing a rain jacket or waterproof shell is advisable.
Braine-le-Château is a small town of around 10,000 people in Walloon Brabant,
with medieval landmarks including a 12th-century watermill and a 16th-century pillory.
Its proximity to Belgium’s capital makes it practical to travel into central Brussels before or after the race.
Times are local to Braine-le-Château. Check the latest official information before the race.
