THE DREAM
The course follows the Arizona Trail from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon.
Events include solo 100-mile running, solo 55K running, and solo 100-mile mountain biking, along with several forms of running and biking relays.
Course passes through the lands of Indigenous peoples including the Hopi, Zuni, Havasupai, Hualapai, Southern Paiute, and Navajo.

Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I really had minimal lows.”At Stagecoach 100, the runner enjoyed aspen groves and high-country scenery. Frequent food and ample water between aid stations kept most of the run pleasant, with a finish in 29 hours 10 minutes.
“I had a really good run, my body held up well, and I didn't have any major issues (other than the fall).”At the Flagstaff to Grand Canyon Stagecoach 100-mile race, a conservative pace on the early climbs saved energy for later. A nighttime fall injured the runner's knees, but they kept moving to finish in 23 hours 36 minutes and meet their sub-24-hour goal.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

None at the trailhead; nearest transit hub is Flagstaff, AZ (Amtrak Southwest Chief station, Mountain Line local bus, Pulliam Airport), about 10 miles south of the start
Start is at Flagstaff Hotshots Ranch on Snowbowl Road, north of Flagstaff, AZ — car access only, no bus route reaches the trailhead Point-to-point 100-mile/55K race between Flagstaff and Grand Canyon (Tusayan), roughly 80 miles apart through Coconino and Kaibab National Forests — runners/crews need private transport or a commercial shuttle between the two ends
Tusayan, AZ (Grand Canyon South Rim entrance) — served by the free Tusayan Route shuttle and the National Park Service's in-park Grand Canyon shuttle system
Finish is near Tusayan at the Grand Canyon entrance; Tusayan's free shuttle connects to Grand Canyon Village and park shuttle routes, but there is no scheduled transit link back to Flagstaff
Flagstaff itself is served by Mountain Line (NAIPTA), which uses a reloadable FlagPass Cash Card (load $5-$50, tap at the farebox) or the Transit app for mobile fares — handy for getting around town before/after the race. However, the point-to-point course toward the Grand Canyon rim is well outside any transit route, so a car, shuttle, or rideshare is required for the actual start/finish logistics.

Course follows the Arizona National Scenic Trail, mixing single-track, double-track, and forest roads.
Starting at about 2,286m elevation, it climbs and descends up to roughly 2,743m,
passing through ponderosa pine and pinyon-juniper forests, meadows, and stands of aspen.
The cumulative elevation gain is about 2,134m for the 100-mile event and about 701m for the 55K.
Due to the high elevation, cool temperatures are expected even in September.
The cutoff time limit is 32 hours for the 100-mile run/relay, 15 hours for the 100-mile mountain bike, and 10 hours for the 55K.
Registration is open through UltraSignup until midnight (local time) on September 14.
Times are local to Flagstaff. Check the latest official information before the race.
