Getting to the start

No public transit to Leakey, TX (rural Hill Country). Start/venue is downtown Leakey/Bushong Mountain Park; also uses Garner State Park and West Prong Frio Events property nearby.

Entry fee includes admission to Garner State Park. Parking in downtown Leakey and Bouchon Mountain Park is free.

Getting to the finish

Finish at the same downtown Leakey/Bushong Mountain Park area.

None — remote/rural venue, private car only. Free parking shares a lot with Bushong Mountain Park; Garner State Park requires entry fee for spectators.

The event runs for three days, from October 2 to 4, and features trail running, cross country,

gravel and mountain bike racing, stand-up paddleboarding, and Frio River rafting, among other disciplines.

If you complete the longest distance across all 5 major events,

you can earn the 'Frio Fanatic Belt Buckle,' and there is also a 'Frio Trio Team Championship' category for teams.

Entry fee is free for the first 200 entrants, and after that, later registrants are charged a $25 safety and course operations fee.
