Boone, NC is served by AppalCART, a fare-free bus network (running since 2005) covering the town, Watauga County, and the Appalachian State University campus, so no card or payment is needed at all. Just board any of the 13 fixed routes for free.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

The 2026 event will take place on November 28.

All four events start at 8:30 AM local time, and registration closes at 8:30 AM on race day.

The start point is 355 M.L.K. Jr. Street.

Water stations are available only in the finish area at the end of each lap and at the final finish.

The organizers advise participants to prepare for the weather and bring any supplies they will need between laps.

No on-site emergency medical personnel will be present, and there will be approximately one or two event staff members.

Entry fee costs $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, half marathon $65, and $90 for the marathon.

Participants aged 1 to 15 pay $5 regardless of event.
