The Granite Mountain Grind is a 50K trail race that runs straight through the granite terrain of the Prescott area.

Rocky climbs and fast descents follow one after another,

and it is considered a technical course with long single-track stretches surrounded by huge granite boulders and juniper forest.

Finisher support consists of 3 full aid stations and 2 water-only aid stations, with safety personnel stationed along the entire course.

It is organized by Dirty Goat Adventures.

Getting to the start

No public transit; car access only. Per the official UltraSignup registration page, start/finish address is 5700 W Almosta Ranch Rd, Prescott, AZ 86305 (in the Granite Mountain area northwest of downtown Prescott).

The broader Granite Mountain trail system's main public trailhead is the Metate Trailhead, reached via Iron Springs Rd. northwest from downtown Prescott, then Granite Basin Rd.
