A day you'll remember,
long past the finish line.

A stair-climbing race held at 8:30 a.m. on August 8 at Fuli Yingkai Plaza in Guangzhou's Tianhe District.

Participants enter through Fire Stairwell 1 and climb to the 52nd floor finish via the 11th, 27th and 41st-floor transfer levels.

The field is limited to 500 participants: 30 elite runners and 470 general participants, selected by lottery.

A vertical marathon up the fire stairs of Yingkai Plaza, a skyscraper in Guangzhou’s Zhujiang New Town.

Runners climb only stairs from the first floor through transition floors 11, 27 and 41 to the finish on the 52nd floor.

The field is capped at 500—30 elite and 470 open runners—with places allocated by lottery.

Entry fee starts at 123 yuan.

Guangzhou Metro Lines 3 & 5, Zhujiang New Town Station, Exit C (building sits atop the exit, ~115m)

Venue is Fuli Yingkai Plaza (富力盈凯广场), Huaxia Road 16, Tianhe District, Guangzhou — a 296m tower in the Zhujiang New Town CBD. The race is a vertical marathon climbing 1390 steps inside the building.

Metro Lines 3 & 5 Zhujiang New Town Station Exit C is essentially adjacent to/beneath the building. Date confirmed: Aug 8, 2026, 8:30am start, matching source date 2026-08-08. The official zuicool event page gave no transit info directly; transit details were sourced from independent building/real-estate listings for the same address.

Contactless tap-to-ride for overseas bank cards launched Oct 12, 2025, backed by Visa/UnionPay and the city government. A Yang Cheng Tong stored-value card is a fallback that also works on Guangzhou buses, taxis, and ferries.

WeChat Pay/Alipay QR codes remain the most universal option if your card isn't accepted at a particular gate. Guangzhou Metro is the easiest way to get around the city.

Buy or top up a Yang Cheng Tong IC card at any station counter or vending machine, or simply use the Alipay/WeChat Pay Metro Ride Code with a foreign card linked, which many visitors find more convenient than a physical card. Base fare starts around 2 yuan, rising with distance.

The race venue building is directly above Zhujiang New Town Station, served by Guangzhou Metro Lines 3 and 5, Exit C, making it very easy to reach.

Use the metro with Alipay or WeChat QR payment, or a transit card.

Foreign visitors can link an overseas card to the tourist version of Alipay.

Climbing stairs sends your heart rate up sharply, so pacing your pace is key.
