Sanya Marathon starts at the south gate of Meilizhiguan and soon enters Yemengchanglang (椰梦长廊, Coconut Dream Corridor),
a seaside promenade stretching for 15km.
Running along this palm-lined, wave-kissed coastal route,
the course turns onto the Hainan Ring Island Tourist Highway around the 17~20km mark, giving runners sweeping views of Sanya Bay.
Full marathon reaches finish at Sanya Bay Binhai Belt Park, and half marathon finishes at Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area.
It is a route that never leaves the coastline from start to finish — very much a tropical resort-city race course.
