THE DREAM
The Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association’s half marathon championships.
It takes place around Tai Mei Tuk beside Plover Cove Reservoir.
The title race of Hong Kong’s half marathon season, it is where the region’s top road runners compete for their winter times.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“However the long and straight dam run was still a torture to me.”Blurmax ran the ASICS Hong Kong half marathon Marathon Championship when it was called the Mizuno Hong Kong half marathon Marathon, after only three hours' sleep. Increasing speed after the first 5km led to a finish in the 1 hour 53 minute range, though the long dam stretch was difficult.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.
