In the Woods 30A 50K is a trail ultramarathon that starts at the Eastern Lake Trailhead in Point Washington State Forest,
near the famous 30A resort road in Florida's Panhandle.
The organizers describe it as the only ultramarathon held on 30A,
which makes sense in context: 30A is a tourism-and-resort corridor lined with beach towns such as Seaside and Rosemary Beach, where large trail races are rare.
Course sends runners straight into an endless pine forest from the start, with repeated crossings of small creeks.
The terrain mixes roots, rocks, and sand, and some sections include standing water and mud,
so despite the beach-resort setting, this is really a technical singletrack trail run.
In addition to the solo category, there is also Relay, in which teams of 2 or 3 split the course between them.
Relay teams can be all-women, all-men, or mixed, which lowers the barrier for runners with little trail experience to take on the event as a team.
Glass Casa Vacation Rentals is the title sponsor, and the race is organized by Rotorhead 30A Running Company.

car access only (forest trailhead).

Packet pickup is separately at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach, 11299 US Hwy 98 E, Inlet Beach, FL — not at the race venue itself.
Same Eastern Lake Trailhead (50K solo runners complete 3 laps; relay runners each complete 1 lap)
Finish co-located with start at the trailhead.
No shuttle service information found on official race pages.
Santa Rosa Beach sits along Florida's 30A corridor in a rural stretch of the Panhandle with no public bus or rail service and no transit card system.
Visitors need a rental car;
the free/cheap 30A trolley (seasonal, cash or app-based, not a stored-value card) covers some beach-town hops but not the trail race venue itself.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The race starts at 6:30am, and finish closes at 4:00pm regardless of whether runners have finished.
That gives time limit approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes from the start—generous for a 50K trail race,
although course includes mud and sand sections, so it is best to allow plenty of time.
Registration is handled through UltraSignup, where runners choose among the solo, 2-person relay, and 3-person relay divisions.
Accommodation is plentiful because the venue is near the 30A beach-resort area,
but given the destination’s popularity, booking nearby lodging early is the safer option even outside peak season.
Times are local to Santa Rosa Beach. Check the latest official information before the race.
