This is a half marathon in Licata, a coastal city in southern Sicily.

Starting from Piazza Sant’Angelo in the old town,

the circuit course heads through the Marina district and around the tourist harbour of Cala del Sole before returning to the same square.

True to its name, “City of the Sea,” this single-distance race unfolds beside Mediterranean harbour scenery.

Getting to the start

Licata railway station and Licata bus terminal — both centrally located

Start/finish is Piazza Sant'Angelo in Licata's historic center. Both the train station and bus terminal are centrally located in town, an easy walk (roughly 1 km) from Piazza Sant'Angelo.

Licata is a small town on Sicily's south coast with no dedicated transit card system; this is primarily a car-access venue. Limited Trenitalia regional rail and AST/Sais bus service connect it to Agrigento and Gela, with paper tickets sold at tabacchi shops or on board.
