THE DREAM
What began as an unofficial training run in preparation for the Javelina Jundred has since become the flagship race of this night trail series.
Participants run desert trails under a star-filled night sky.
It is the sixth and final race of the summer night series.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I finished strong and was proud of completing the entire race distance.”Highbeans tackled a first ultra at the 2019 Javelina Jangover 75 km, even going off route while changing headlamp batteries. With help from a pacer on the final lap, the runner finished in 10:10:20, placing 10th among 24 finishers.
“I almost DNS'd the Javelina Jangover.”The runner nearly skipped the Javelina Jangover 75 km because of fatigue and digestive discomfort, but completed the nighttime desert course. Recovering with aid-station food after sleepiness and stomach pain on the second lap, she finished in 8:48, first woman and fourth overall.
