David endured headwinds and leg discomfort to finish the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon in 3 hours 43 minutes 35 seconds. Despite starting faster than planned, he maintained his pace through the finish and secured a Boston Marathon qualifying time.

“While physically I felt fine, mentally I struggled.”

Sam Yeager-Allen maintained a steady speed while leading a 3-hour-25-minute pace group for the first time at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon. On the latter part of the course, a misplaced turnaround point shortened the distance, but Sam still enjoyed the experience of leading the pace.

Getting to the start

Marathon: Henderson Point, 26251 West Beach Blvd, Pass Christian, MS — shuttle-only, NO runner/spectator parking; Half Marathon: Jones Park, 805 20th Ave, Gulfport, MS

Point-to-point course with two different starts. The full marathon starts near Henderson Point in Pass Christian and explicitly has NO parking — all marathon runners MUST take the organizer's shuttle bus to this start.

Race date (Sun Dec 13, 2026) matches — official page lists event weekend Dec 12-13, 2026.

Extensive organizer-run shuttle system for Sunday's Marathon/Half Marathon; the Saturday 5K/Kids Marathon does NOT have shuttle service.

Transit card

Biloxi's Coast Transit Authority (CTA) buses are cash/change only, with a base fare of $1.50 per fare zone and additional zone crossings adding to the cost; daily, 3-day, and 31-day passes can be bought on board or at the Biloxi/Gulfport Transit Centers. There is no smart card system, so exact change is recommended for visitors.

The race is a coastal running festival held over two days, from Saturday, December 12 to Sunday,

December 13, with a range of events including full marathon, half marathon, a 5K, a children's one-mile race, and a beer mile.

If you selected bib for advance mail delivery, it will be mailed approximately two and a half weeks before the race, so on-site pickup is not required.

However, finishers must collect their commemorative item separately at the 'Mail-by Swag' booth.

Full marathon manages the time limit by having a SAG (sweep) vehicle move runners to finish or ahead of course if they cannot maintain the pace of 13 minutes 45 seconds per mile.
