Cutoff
Time limit (30 minutes → 16 minutes) for each mile loop, if you miss it, you are eliminated.
Hold a 20-pound kettlebell and run 31 laps (50K) of a 1-mile loop, losing time limit for each lap.
Course consists of 31 laps of a 1-mile loop within Oak Mountain State Park, for a total distance of 50K (31 miles).
Participants must carry a 9kg (20-pound) kettlebell for the entire race.
Each lap has a time limit, which gets progressively shorter.
The limit for lap 1 is 30 minutes, but by lap 30 it drops to 16 minutes, and failing to complete a lap within the set time results in elimination.
The final, 31st lap, however, has no separate time limit.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.

Finish co-located with start.
No dedicated transit card system for Pelham, Alabama; Kettlebell Kountdown is a rural trail race reached only by car. Standard cash/card is accepted for any parking at the venue, but there is no local transit card to obtain.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.

In October, average temperatures in the Pelham area are mild, with daytime highs around 25°C (77°F) and nighttime lows around 12°C (53°F),
but conditions can vary and include rain, so preparation is needed.
The race goes on rain or shine.
Check-in is at the south trailhead parking lot near Lakeside Pavilion at the start, in Oak Mountain State Park,
where runners must bring photo ID to pick up their bib between 6:30 and 7:40 AM on race day.
The start time is 8:00 AM.
