Getting to the start

Half marathon: Enchantment Park, downtown Leavenworth (walkable town center); Marathon start: remote Icicle Canyon area, reachable only via mandatory organizer shuttle

Half marathon starts and finishes at Enchantment Park in Leavenworth's Bavarian Village. The marathon starts near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area/Icicle Canyon (about 9 miles out of town) and requires the mandatory organizer shuttle bus from Leavenworth.

Rural mountain-town venue with no public transit; the marathon start is only reachable via the mandatory organizer shuttle.

Both marathon and half marathon finish at Enchantment Park Event Center in downtown Leavenworth.

Start shuttle

Marathon runners must take the event-provided shuttle bus to the remote start; it departs from and returns to the Shuttle Transit Center at Icicle River Middle School, 10195 Titus Road, Leavenworth, WA. Half marathon starts directly at Enchantment Park (no shuttle needed).

Transit card

No dedicated transit card system; Leavenworth is a small car-access mountain town in the Cascades with only limited local/seasonal shuttle service and no smartcard network.

Half marathon starts at the Enchantment Park Event Center, passes through downtown Leavenworth,

joins the same route as full marathon, and returns to Enchantment Park.

Full marathon starts near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, runs through about 9 miles of canyon terrain,

then completes two loops along the riverside park and trails.

The surface is a mix of paved road, unpaved road, and trail.

Time limit's full marathon is 6 hours, and half marathon's is 4 hours, and half marathon allows walking participation regardless of finish time.
