RACE WEEK
Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
Both the 5km and 10km events follow completely flat loop course courses combining roads and trails, with virtually no elevation change.
The 10km is run as two laps of the 5km course, with aid station provided midway through course.
Course passes Dachstein's main heritage buildings, including sites normally closed to the public that runners can enter on race day.
Times are recorded with chip timing, and a combo entry for both the 5km and 10km is available.

Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Gare de Dachstein (TER Grand Est, Strasbourg–Molsheim line), a short distance from the village center and sports complex
Start is at the Complexe sportif et culturel, Rue Jacques Prévert, Dachstein (Bas-Rhin). Dachstein has its own TER regional train station on the Strasbourg–Molsheim line, making rail a practical alternative to car access.
Same as start — Complexe sportif, near Gare de Dachstein
Course winds through the village, including the Château Hervé park, finishing back at the sports complex.
None advertised; the village is walkable from the TER station.
Dachstein is near Strasbourg, served by the CTS network using the Badgeo contactless card (EUR 4 to obtain, top-uppable via NFC smartphone), with a single ticket costing EUR 1.90 on the card/app versus EUR 2.50 on board. Day passes (EUR 7.20 for 24 hours) are also available for visitors.
Dachstein village itself has limited local service, so most runners will drive or connect via a CTS/regional bus link into Strasbourg.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The 6th edition will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, with registration handled through the Wanatime platform.
The race falls during late summer in Alsace, when conditions are generally mild.
Times are local to Dachstein. Check the latest official information before the race.
