Apache JunctionTHE DREAM
Held against the backdrop of the Superstition Mountains in Arizona.
Runners race through the desert at winter sunrise.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“It really made my finish really special to have all the people there and it was an amazing experience.”At the Lost Dutchman Marathon, constant hills led the runner to alternate running and walking from mile 11. After running the final 1 mile with a friend, the runner finished in 5 hours, 12 minutes, and 37 seconds to cheers from family and friends.
“I set a record in a race I didn’t think it was possible.”At the Lost Dutchman half marathon Marathon, the runner tackled hills with a friend and maintained the pace throughout. A strong finish in 2 hours, 4 minutes, and 59 seconds cut around 9 minutes from the time recorded a month earlier.
