THE DREAM
Medio Maratón de Santiago is a women-only half marathon that starts and finishes at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Ñuñoa, Santiago, Chile.
Launched in 2025 as Chile’s first large-scale women-only running event, it returns for its second edition on August 30, 2026.
Participants can choose between 21km and 7km, with the field capped at 6,000.
The event is organised by Prokart Producciones and sponsored by Itaú, which is why it is also known as the Itaú Medio Maratón de Santiago.

Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“The Santiago half marathon was my third half marathon, but it was the most meaningful race.”
The runner took on the 21K again for the first time in 10 years. The runner received training and team support during the preparation, and said that the race helped regain their health and confidence.

Finish · Google MapsThe start and finish are set on Avenida Grecia in front of Estadio Nacional.
In the inaugural 2025 race, runners started here, followed a course through major avenues in the Ñuñoa area—including José Pedro Alessandri,
Macul, Rodrigo de Araya, Irarrázaval and Salvador—and returned to Estadio Nacional.
This loop remains the basic course structure.
Santiago lies in a basin at around 570m above sea level, so the road gradients are generally gentle.
The 7km and 21km races start separately, and the exact 2026 start times and time limit will be announced by the organisers closer to race day.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.

Late August is late winter in Chile's Southern Hemisphere.
Santiago's average high is around 14°C and its low around 4°C, so conditions are cool.
There are approximately six rainy days during the month, with rainfall around 25mm,
so prepare for chilly temperatures and a chance of light rain at the early start.
Santiago sits in a basin at about 570m above sea level, where the air is thinner than at sea level;
runners from low elevations should manage their pace conservatively early on.
