and half marathon is distributed through an initial lottery system, currently closed.

If you run through a designated charity partner, you can register without a lottery.

Confirmed registration is also possible through official travel partner reservations.
(Note: July's 'Run Melbourne Half Marathon', a separate competition, is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis)
