It takes place on remote sections of the Ice Age Trail.

The venue is the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, and most of course follows the Ice Age Trail.

The trail stretches 1,000 miles entirely within Wisconsin.

Race reports: 1
Gibson KelleyRan in 2024
“And you know what? Somehow at the end I was actually smiling.”

At Midwest States 100, mud and fallen trees disrupted the runner's rhythm and spirits early on. Helping another runner restored their drive; after persevering together overnight, they finished 100 miles as the first woman.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
