It is a timed competition that covers a 0.75 mile (approximately 1.2km) loop course.
The events consist of the 48 Hour Run and 72 Hour Run.
The start takes place at 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA, at 6:00 p.m. local time.
Course is a loop course that returns to the starting point.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Camping on the lawn is possible for the 6-72 hour timed race (9/18-9/21) that runs around a 1-mile loop.

Start/finish is at Regional Park (North Auburn), 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA 95602, a Placer County park in the Sierra foothills. No fixed-route public transit was found serving the park directly; this is a rural/suburban multi-day endurance event (72hr/48hr/24hr/12hr/6hr loop formats) typical for car-access-only venues.
Event runs Friday, September 18 through Monday, September 21, 2026; the provided date (2026-09-18) matches the event's start day.

The race runs over four days, from September 18 to 21, and course is a roughly 1-mile loop within Auburn Regional Park (3770 Richardson Drive).
It follows a paved bike path around ponds and shaded sections, and participants choose from 8 total events,
including 72-hour, 48-hour, 24-hour, and 12-hour runs and team relays, a 100-mile, and a 6-hour night run.
Time limit is generous, so the race is designed to be completable whether you walk or run, and finishers receive a Mile Madness buckle.
With aid station located both at the midpoint and at the 0.5-mile mark of the course, aid is easy to reach even while repeating the short loop.
