THE DREAM
The race runs through Mine-Akiyoshidai Geopark, recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
Runners pass through terrain shaped over 350 million years while enjoying local food and hospitality along the way.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“It was a great day on the course around Mine City, with nature and the locals’ encouragement giving me strength.”
In the 48km event at the Mine Akiyoshidai Geopark Ultramarathon, the runner experienced caves, natural scenery, and several aid stations. Alternating walking and running late on, the runner drew strength from locals’ support and finished.

美祢市をぐるっと一周するコースで、美祢の自然と住民のみなさんの声援に励まされた楽しい一日でした。
Read the original on かわむら歯科スタッフのブログ“In the end, I couldn’t eat any aid-station food except sorbet until I reached the finish.”
In the 48km event at the Mine Akiyoshidai Geopark Ultramarathon, humid heat and stomach discomfort left the runner barely able to eat at aid stations. Heavy legs before 10km forced a slower pace.
