Navajo Mountain is an extremely remote area of the Navajo Nation in Utah with no public transit of any kind.
This is strictly a car-access venue, and runners should plan for a long drive with a reliable vehicle.

Conditions at Navajo Mountain in October favor runners.
The key is the wait before the start.
Starting cold can mean spending the first 5km just warming up.
The venue is in an area without public transportation, so plans should assume travel by private or rental car.

Ultras are decided by fueling and foot care, not speed.
Break in shoes and socks well before race day, and if the course includes nighttime sections, bring spare batteries for the headlamp.
