THE DREAM
The Coelmo Napoli City half marathon is a 21.097km half marathon held every February in Naples, Italy.
Both the start and finish are at Mostra d'Oltremare.
The course runs along the Naples waterfront and through the city, including sections with views of Mount Vesuvius.
The finisher time limit is 3 hours 30 minutes.
Official pacer teams and race-walking groups guide participants at a range of pace from 1:24 to 3:30.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“It was my first half marathon, after all.”
At the Napoli City half marathon, the runner frequently walked and rested because of knee and back pain. Views of the sea and Mount Vesuvius, along with encouragement from other participants, helped the runner complete a first half marathon.

Mein erster Halbmarathon, immerhin.
Read the original on Barbaras Spielwiese – Reiseblog“As a runner, I was excited at the prospect of enjoying Naples’ beauty.”
The writer ran the Naples half marathon as both the person responsible for operating the pacer and a participant. Arriving at around 1:25, they assessed the course, wind, refreshments, and baggage-storage arrangements.

Alternative: Naples Pass — Worth it if you're also planning to visit multiple museums/attractions in Naples beyond just race-related transit. Tap&Go (contactless card/phone at gate, auto-selects the cheapest fare) currently covers Metro Line 1, the Chiaia and Centrale funiculars, and a couple of EAV lines — it is not yet on buses/trams/trolleybuses, which still require a paper or app ticket.
Flat single-journey fares are about €1.30 (bus/tram/funicular) and €1.50 (metro).
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
It is best to pick up bib first at the Sports Expo in Mostra d'Oltremare.
The expo is operated in pavilion 3B of the exhibition hall, and bib cannot be collected on race day.
As a rule, collect it in person with your ID.
If you need proxy pick-up,
please use the individual delegation form on the official site and check the rule that states that the number of additional bib a participant can receive is limited.
On race day, the gathering takes place inside Mostra d'Oltremare, and the start takes place outside at Viale John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
It is a good idea to include in your itinerary the process of arriving at the exhibition hall from your accommodation and walking to the start road.
Please remember that the location where you received bib and the actual start line are divided into inside and outside the event venue.
If participating in the relay, the second runner takes the shuttle to the changeover point from the corner of Viale Kennedy and Piazzale Tecchio.
The first runner can return to the start by shuttle after completing his or her segment.
Decide among your team members in advance who will do Packet Pickup and who will go to the changeover point.
Times are local to Napoli. Check the latest official information before the race.
