Kö Mile mimics New York's 5th Avenue Mile, temporarily closing Düsseldorf's premier shopping street Königsallee as a IAAF-certified measured course.

This is the 5th edition.

Elite road miler Elliott Giles set a world record (3:51.30) at this course in the 2024 race.

Getting to the start

Steinstraße/Königsallee (U-Bahn)

Start is on the Königsallee ("Kö"), Düsseldorf's central boulevard; start points vary slightly by race category but are all along the Kö. The U-Bahn station Steinstraße/Königsallee (lines U72, U75, U77, U79, U83) is a 2-minute walk from the Kö.

Finish is also on the Königsallee, in the same central-Düsseldorf area as the start.

None needed — venue sits directly above multiple U-Bahn lines.

Transit card

Dusseldorf and the wider NRW region use the eezy.nrw check-in/check-out fare via the Rheinbahn or VRR app: register a payment card once, then tap to check in and out and the fare is calculated and capped automatically (capped around 63 euros/month). The app also covers the Deutschlandticket for regional bus/train travel.

Traditional paper tickets from station vending machines remain available for those who prefer not to use an app.
