“I certainly felt good enough to go out and celebrate Oktoberfest at a friend's house that night!”

At the O’Brien Trail Race 50km, they walked most climbs and lengthened their stride downhill over two laps of course. A late push for a sub-6-hour finish ended at 6 hours 4 minutes 47 seconds, but they were pleased to complete an ultra for a 17th consecutive year.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
