No public transit; car access only. Road course through the Smiths Grove and Oakland communities, including several railroad crossings.

The route changes each year to feature a different section of Warren County.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

The race is hosted by Warren County Parks and Recreation and will be held for the fourth time in 2027.

A distinctive feature is that proceeds support youth track and field scholarships.

The start is at Ed Speer Park in Smiths Grove, with the marathon and half marathon starting together at 7:00 a.m.

Race numbers can be picked up in advance at Ed Speer Park from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the Friday before the race.

Runners collecting their numbers on race day must arrive by 6:15 a.m. Based on the previous year,

Entry fee cost $75 for the marathon and $50 for half marathon, with prices increasing after March 1.

Finishers in both the marathon and half marathon receive finisher medal, and all participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Course follows gently rolling rural roads around Smiths Grove and Oakland.

More than 90% of the course is paved, with the remainder on gravel roads.

The route crosses railroad tracks several times, and the organizers state that any delays caused by trains will be adjusted in the final results.
