There is no subway in Pohang, so buses are the main means of transportation. Nationally compatible transportation cards such as T-money can be used on Pohang city buses, and the basic fare is around 1,500 KRW.
Dogu Beach is a bit far from downtown Pohang, so we recommend checking the bus schedule in advance or taking a taxi.

This is a midsummer race, so heat and humidity are major factors.
Even with an early start, do not skip aid stations, and avoid chasing an overly ambitious time.
The distance is short and not too demanding, but as long as you avoid going out too hard pace, finishing should be well within reach.
Pohang is known for gwamegi, semi-dried Pacific saury, and mulhoe, raw fish in a chilled broth.
Homigot Sunrise Square and Yeongildae Beach are its main attractions.
