The Atlantic City Marathon is a historic race reportedly dating back to 1958, making it the third-oldest marathon in the United States.
This edition includes full marathon, half marathon, 10K and G. Larry James 5K.
Participants can also enter combination events in the King Neptune Challenge: marathon + 10K, marathon + 5K, half marathon + 10K or half marathon + 5K.
The G. Larry James 5K honors Larry James,
a former Stockton University athletic director who won 4x400 m relay gold at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics in a then-world-record time,
as well as silver in the individual 400 m.
His foundation serves as title sponsor, with proceeds supporting scholarships.
Entry fee follows tiered pricing that increases by registration date.
Based on the previous year, the marathon ranged from $80 for early registration to $150 close to the deadline;
half marathon ranged from $70 to $140;
and the 10K and 5K ranged from $35 to $75.
The Atlantic City Marathon Series also offers a Triple Threat Bundle,
combining different weekend races such as the April Fools half marathon in April and the Bungalow Beach Boardwalk Run in June,
with a 5% discount and a special finisher medal.
