The Querétaro Marathon is an urban race at an altitude of 1,805–1,869 m that starts on Avenida Constituyentes opposite Alameda Hidalgo and returns to the same location.

The full marathon has a capacity of 1,200 runners, and the time limit is 6 hours.

The event also includes 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon.

The Querétaro Marathon starts on Avenida Constituyentes (Av.

Constituyentes), opposite Alameda Hidalgo, and returns to the same location as a course.

After the start, the course heads east, turns at the Distribuidor Bicentenario near 3 km, and runs north along Bernardo Quintana Avenue.

Near 5 km, it crosses Calzada de los Arcos,

while the 10–12 km section follows Avenida Universidad and the 15–16 km section passes beside Cerro de las Campanas.

Around 20 km, the course returns to Avenida Constituyentes and heads west.

Between 25–28 km, it makes a loop through the neighbourhood around the Pirámide El Pueblito.

Near 33 km, it turns at Libramiento Sur Poniente and returns east along Avenida Constituyentes.

In the final section, it passes in front of Estadio Olímpico and reaches the finish.

The elevation ranges from 1,805–1,869 m above sea level.

The highest point is near 3 km, followed by repeated climbs and descents between 5–10 km;

after 10 km, the course is low and flat.

The total capacity for the 2026 race is 19,500 runners.

and all route streets in the Centro Histórico plus Constituyentes, Corregidora, Pasteur, and Zaragoza close from 4:00 AM Sunday —

arrive very early.

Confirmed as of Nov-Dec 2024 rollout, all 13 trunk routes and 500+ complementary-route buses accept tap-to-pay Visa/Mastercard, same 11-peso fare as a transfer.

The official Qrobús public buses do NOT accept cash — only cards/QR/contactless.

Cash is only accepted on unofficial/private 'camiones' outside the formal Qrobús network.

The event takes place in the early morning of Sunday, 4 October 2026.

The wheelchair and visually impaired categories start at 6:00, the marathon at 6:05, the half marathon at 6:15, and the general 5 km and 10 km categories at 6:45.

Start blocks are strictly divided according to the event and expected finish time.

Packet Pickup takes place at the Querétaro Convention Center (Av.

Paseo de las Artes 1531-B) from 9:30–18:00 on Friday, 2 October, and from 9:00–17:30 on Saturday, 3 October.

There is no race-day collection.

You must bring a copy of valid identification, a medical certificate, a printed registration confirmation, a signed waiver and a personal-data consent form.

The bag-storage facility for the full and half marathon is inside Centro Alameda, at the corner of Avenida Luis Pasteur and Calle Gonzalo Río Arronte.

Water pouches are provided every 2.5 km, and sports drink is provided every 5 km.

The full marathon time limit is 6 hours;

if you exceed it, you must take the official vehicle to the finish.

Split times are recorded at every 5 km and at the 33 km mark.
