The 50K has over 2,400 m of elevation gain. The 20K climbs from the Upper McKenzie Community Center to the summit of Kings Castle and back.

The 50K and 20K races are held together.

Start line is located in Rainbow, OR, with a local start time of 7:00 AM.

Getting to the start

50K starts at Olallie North Trailhead, reached via an official shuttle bus (15-18 min ride) from the Upper McKenzie Community Center, 54745 McKenzie River Dr, Blue River, OR 97413; 20K starts later from the Community Center area itself.

Rural Cascades/McKenzie River corridor location; no public transit. Access is via McKenzie River Dr (OR-126 area).

Packet pickup also offered Oct 7 at Salvation Nutrition in Eugene. No public transit in this rural forest location.

The 50K begins with a 16-minute shuttle ride from the Upper Mackenzie Community Center to the Olallee North Trailhead.

Yes — official race shuttle for 50K runners from the Community Center to the Olallie North Trailhead start, ~15-18 minutes, two shuttle departures around 5:45am and 6:25am.

Transit card

No dedicated transit card system exists for Rainbow, Texas; this is a rural central-Texas venue with no public transit of any kind. Car or rental vehicle access is required, and any incidental costs (parking, tolls near Dallas–Fort Worth if routing through there) are cash/card as normal.

October in the Pacific Northwest is a time of cooler temperatures and a chance of rain.

50K participants take a roughly 15-18 minute shuttle from the community center to the Olallie North trailhead,

departing around 5:45 a.m. and 6:25 a.m. Bibs can be picked up in advance from 4-7 p.m. on October 7 at Salvation Nutrition in Eugene, or early on race morning.

The 50K starts at 7:00 a.m. and the 20K at 9:30 a.m., and the 50K finish time limit is 6:00 p.m.
